Dr. Mark Madzy
Dr. Madzy was raised in upstate New York and graduated from the State University of New York at Oswego studying Zoology and chemistry. Before attending Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine he worked as a zookeeper and has always had an interest in exotic animals. This interest continued throughout his veterinary studies and included time learning with zoo veterinarians. But he still wanted to work with pet dogs and cats so he decided to have the best of both worlds and see all of my favorite animals in private practice. Dr. Madzy enjoys providing the best possible care for all household pets and advising pet parents on how to provide this care. He enjoys that every day brings new challenges and opportunities while meeting new clients with their beloved pets. Loves spending time with his 2 daughters and 2 spoiled cats.
Dr. Abigail Ribaudo
Dr. Abigail Ribaudo has dreamed of becoming a veterinarian since childhood. Growing up with four miniature poodles, she developed a deep love for animals at an early age. One especially memorable experience—helping one of her dogs give birth—solidified her passion for veterinary medicine and inspired her future career path.
Dr. Ribaudo earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Lewyt College of Veterinary Medicine at Long Island University. Prior to becoming a veterinarian, she spent five years working as a veterinary technician on Staten Island, where she was raised. These experiences helped shape her clinical skills and strengthened her commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care to pets and the families who love them.
Her professional interests include internal medicine and surgery, and she is dedicated to continually expanding her knowledge and expertise to provide the best possible care for her patients.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Ribaudo enjoys spending time with her fiancé, JT, and their two bernedoodles, Zion and Rex.
Kelsey, Practice Manager
Growing up in a military family, Kelsey has lived all over the country but has spent much of her life in California and Northern Virginia. She recently relocated to the South Brunswick area with her husband and son from Dumfries, VA and is excited to be closer to her two stepdaughters.
She holds a Biology Degree from the University of California, Riverside and spent a few years after college involved in various animal behavior research projects in the US, Canada, and Australia. She has been in the Veterinary field as a Vet Assistant and Practice Manager for 20 years now. In her spare time, she enjoys running, competing in obstacle course Mud Runs, spending time with her family, and keeping up with her crazy pup, Nala, and her cat, Freya.
Shannon, Head Vet Tech/ Assistant Manager
Shannon has been a lifelong resident of Franklin Township in Somerset. She has always had a love for animals and has been in the Vet field for 30 years, with the shelter now for 20 years. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family, friends and her 3 Frenchies.
