Dr. Mazdy
Dr. Mark Madzy

Dr. Madzy was raised in upstate New York and graduated from the State University of New York at Oswego studying Zoology and chemistry. Before attending Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine he worked as a zookeeper and has always had an interest in exotic animals. This interest continued throughout his veterinary studies and included time learning with zoo veterinarians. But he still wanted to work with pet dogs and cats so he decided to have the best of both worlds and see all of my favorite animals in private practice. Dr. Madzy enjoys providing the best possible care for all household pets and advising pet parents on how to provide this care. He enjoys that every day brings new challenges and opportunities while meeting new clients with their beloved pets.
Currently lives in Lawrenceville with his wife and two daughters and has 3 spoiled cats.

Dr. Briskman
Dr. Briskman has had a fascination with exotic animals since childhood, and was an active member of the Metropolitan Herpetological Society while it existed. He graduated from New York University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He then attended Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary medicine, where he obtained his DVM degree. His veterinary interests include exotic animal medicine and soft tissue surgery. His hobbies include computers and video games, cars, anime, hiking/herping, and weightlifting. He has a 3 year old chihuahua mix named JoJo, and a modest collection of reptiles. Fun fact about Dr. Briskman – he is bilingual, fluent in both English and Russian
kelsey
Kelsey, Practice Manager

Growing up in a military family, Kelsey has lived all over the country but has spent much of her life in California and Northern Virginia. She recently relocated to the South Brunswick area with her husband and son from Dumfries, VA and is excited to be closer to her two stepdaughters.

She holds a Biology Degree from the University of California, Riverside and spent a few years after college involved in various animal behavior research projects in the US, Canada, and Australia. She has been in the Veterinary field as a Vet Assistant and Practice Manager for 15 years now. In her spare time, she enjoys running, competing in obstacle course Mud Runs, spending time with her family, and keeping up with her crazy pup, Nala, 2 cats, and Bearded Dragon.

Shannon, Head Vet Tech/ Assistant Manager

Shannon has been a lifelong resident of Franklin Township in Somerset. She has always had a love for animals and has been in the Vet field for 25 years, with the shelter now for 15 years. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family, friends and her 3 Frenchies, and her 2 rabbits.
