We offer same day sick visits appointments (pending availability) to care for a wide range of medical concerns. Whether your pet is experiencing vomiting, diarrhea, limping, minor injuries, or sudden behavioral changes, our team will evaluate their condition, provide appropriate treatment, and help them feel better as quickly as possible.
When to Schedule a Sick Visit for Your Pet
You may want to schedule a sick visit if your pet is experiencing:
- Urinary issues (straining, urinating blood)
- Toxin or foreign body ingestion
- Bite wounds
- Parasite concerns (fleas, mites, sudden itching)
- Ear or eye infections (redness, discharge, squinting, head shaking)
- Significant behavioral changes
- Coughing or sneezing
- Dehydration or excessive drinking
- Diarrhea or vomiting
- Cuts, abrasions, or abscesses
- Mild lameness, pain, or limping
- Rash, hives, or facial swelling
- Scooting

What’s the difference between a sick visit and an emergency?
Sick visits are for medical concerns that require prompt attention but are not life-threatening. Emergencies involve life-threatening conditions that require immediate medical care and may warrant a referral to a 24-hour Emergency clinic.
Examples of life-threatening emergencies include:
- Being hit by a car
- Severe difficulty breathing
- Inability to urinate
- Excessive or uncontrolled bleeding
- Abdominal bloating
- Collapse or seizures
